Spring Market Festival 2012
In October, Aurora continued the tradition of our Spring Market Festival with the second year's event. A truly successful day, we were delighted to see so many residents and friends around Aurora Display Village Park, enjoying the sunshine and festivities.
Organisers estimated about 3,000 visitors came to the Festival, making it the biggest community event in the area and the most successful market through other new estates.
With 94 stalls, there was entertainment and produce for everyone. We loved the garden workshops, Twisted Spuds and Latin American food. Crystal the Fairy, face painting, story time, painting workshops and the animal petting farm were all very popular. Roving buskers, live music and clowns kept everyone smiling.
It's great to bring our Aurora community together, and also to take time to focus on local produce, good food and healthy living. We'd like to thank Urban Reforestation, the Aurora Community Association and Taegan Hannah for the tireless energy organising this Festival.
Each year we get more ideas and inspiration for next the Spring Market Festival and look forward to seeing you again later in the year.
